Dr. Jackie Poos is a postdoctoral researcher at the Alzheimercenter Erasmus MC, Department of Neurology, Erasmus MC University Medical Center, Rotterdam, the Netherlands. After completing her Bachelor in Psychology, and two master degrees in Clinical Neuropsychology and Neuroscience & Cognition at Utrecht University, she obtained her PhD in 2022 under supervision of Prof. dr. John van Swieten at Erasmus MC.
Her dissertation focused on improving early diagnosis of (genetic) FTD from a neuropsychological and neuroimaging perspective. She worked with data from the single-center FTD-RisC study and the international multicenter Genetic FTD Initiative (GENFI). Currently, she is developing an independent research line including five PhD students on innovative digital biomarkers for improving neuropsychological assessment and monitoring of early-stage FTD. This work is supported by Alzheimer Nederland, the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias, and the Erasmus MC Young Investigator Program.
